Engagement shoot: Ben & Erin, Longleat

Updated: Mar 30

I met the lovely Ben and Erin for their engagement shoot at Heaven's Gate in Wiltshire on a crisp late autumn afternoon. After a week of torrential rain, we were blessed with a dry day!

"We chose to do our engagement photoshoot at Heavens Gate as it has always been our to go to when times have been hard, to get fresh air, or even just to take the dogs for a walk," they said. "Heaven's Gate has an outstanding view of Longleat House and also is very nice for a summery picnic!"

Ben and Erin met online on Boxing Day in 2015, and began their romance with a drink and a trip to the cinema. After meeting every day for the following days, Ben asked if they wanted to 'give this a go', and the two began dating on 29 December 2015.

The couple moved in together on 3 July 2016, and after a further two and a half years later became engaged in Lanzarote.

"On the last evening Ben suggested the last walk across the sea front," said Erin. "He then stopped and I turned around to him on one knee, and he asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes!"

Ben and Erin are holding their Somerset wedding at Limpley Stoke Hotel, near Bath, on 29 May 2021. They chose the venue for its beautiful views and the fact that the whole wedding can be held on-site.

"We are so excited that the big day is coming so quick but is yet so far!" the couple said.

If you are looking for a Wiltshire engagement photographer, please get in touch today, I would love to hear from you!
