I did one of my all time favourite shoots in February 2020, when I met the lovely Den and Joe at beautiful Lacock Abbey, and I'm delighted to share a few pics from the afternoon. They chose the venue due to both being massive Harry Potter fans! You may recognise Lacock Abbey, if you have a good memory, as it featured as parts of Hogwarts in the first two films.
The couple met for their first date in Victoria Station in December 2017, and quickly discovered they were both absolute foodies and geeks. Joe brought Den flowers, which then led to a funny exchange over ticket barriers after she left them behind and he insisted he'd get them back for her when she had already tapped in. Fortunately, this exchange ended with him asking her out on a second date.
After a few more dates, they made it official in January 2018, and decided to move away from London to be closer to Joseph's family in Bournemouth at the end of the year.
On a lovely May afternoon, Joseph and Dinah were planning to have dinner with his parents at Pebble Beach, a cliff top restaurant in Barton on Sea with a sea-view terrace. He insisted they should take a walk before dinner, and they were lucky enough to have the whole beach to themselves.
The couple often have inside jokes about portkeys, and after making a joke about the Portaloo on the beach, Joseph decided to pop the question - and Dinah said yes!
The couple were planning on having two Harry Potter-themed weddings, but due to the current situation, the 18 April ceremony in Canford Magna, Dorset, has had to be postponed! They will also be having a wedding in December 2020 in Dinah's native country, the Philippines.
