Wedding spotlight: Charlotte & Dan, Taunton

I've always had a soft spot for Taunton. It's where I was born aaall the way back in 1990, and I spent a lot of time there growing up; visiting friends and enjoying the shopping. (On a side note - SO stoked that they now have a Boston Tea Party; you can't beat their berry yoghurt flapjack!)

Taunton is also where the lovely Charlotte and Daniel tied the knot on a beautiful sunny afternoon in early September. Their original wedding was scheduled for May but sadly postponed, like so many things, due to COVID.

Charlotte and Dan first met at work, and became engaged on a weekend away to Bournemouth. The vision for their wedding was a minimalistic, intimate day with their closest loved ones, consummating in a relaxed reception at home with fun, food, and drink.

The wedding ceremony took place at the historic Taunton Municipal Buildings, in the Vivary Room, complete with lovely high ceilings and wooden beams.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony, with their nearest and dearest present, but had lots of family and friends waiting outside to congratulate them when they emerged, which was lovely! And the waiting people were, of course, primed to shower them with confetti.

Their original plans involved going on an epic honeymoon to Mexico but this too was cancelled due to the pandemic. Instead after tying the knot, they headed to London for a 'minimoon'! (And as someone who has been an honourary Londoner for 10 years, I say 'good choice'!)

Charlotte and Dan's advice to other couples planning their weddings is to plan the day that YOU want, and go with your heart - regardless of whether your dreams are big or small.
