Documentary wedding photography for relaxed couples in London (and across the UK)

Hey lovebirds! I'm guessing if you've found this page you're planning your dream wedding and on the hunt for the perfect wedding photographer? Firstly - huge congrats on your engagement! Having walked down the aisle a few years back, I remember the whirlwind and minefield of planning a wedding all too well (and still have the occasional anxiety dream). But SECONDLY, you've now ticked one thing off your planning list as you've found me - your perfect wedding photographer (?)!

I know that choosing the right person to capture your big day is a really important decision. Once you've glugged the champagne, devoured the cake, and got your wedding shoes covered in mud thanks to the delightful British weather, your photos will still be there to help you remember it all, for the rest of your lives.

So, my photography style. It's very relaxed - what you might have heard referred to as 'documentary' wedding photography. Basically, I'll be your personal ninja; stealthily capturing your wedding's story from the background. Lots of people have said they don't even know I'm there, and can then just enjoy being themselves, while I snap lots of candid shots of everyone having an amazing time. While I do also do couple shoots and family group photos, there aren't any two-hour-long magazine-esque shoots that necessitate you missing most of your drinks reception (and therefore all the amazing food and booze!).

How I work on your wedding day

What I do

I document your day as it unfolds, looking for genuine moments to capture; hugs, kisses, laughter, silly moments, etc.
I try and be unobtrusive so you and your guests can forget I am there, relax, and just enjoy your wedding.
I am warm and friendly and aim to put people at ease, as I know most people aren't fond of, or used to, being in front of the camera!
I prefer finding moments authentically, and while I do take couple shots, I won't spend hours posing you. I'll encourage you to just be yourselves and have some fun! It's also a great opportunity to just spend some time together, which is usually in short supply on what is, after all, YOUR wedding day.

What I don't do

I don't make people stand around for ages while I set up extravagant shots, and nor will I be posing you like dolls.
I will never get in people's faces, ask them to 'SMILE', and pull them out of the moment.
I won't spend your whole reception doing thousands of group photos. They're no one's favourite part of the day, and I like to help them go as smoothly and quickly as possible, so you can focus on yourselves, your guests, and celebrating.
I avoid posing artificial moments, or forcing you to recreate them.
I don't expect you to plan your entire wedding around getting 'the perfect shot'; I won't be ordering you around or monopolising your time.
